Unity of the Hill Country is surrounded by the rolling hills of southcentral Texas in the bustling city of Kerrville. This growing community is attractive to young entrepreneurs with growing families escaping urban life to start new businesses as well as retirees ready for a more peaceful pace-of-life. There are great restaurants, a variety of offerings in the arts, and unlimited outdoor activities. The city maintains over twelve miles of widened sidewalks that run along the river for walking, biking, skating and more amongst the wildflowers and wildlife. Citizens and vacationers enjoy multiple parks that fill with people for festivals, events, or simply a Sunday afternoon of fun in the sun.
Nestled close to the stunning Guadalupe River banks, the Unity of Hill Country consists of a recently debt-free, 11,000 square foot “green building” surrounded by mature trees. The campus also offers a unique, standalone meditation chapel. Our Zen-like building houses a library, private minister’s office, commercial-quality kitchen, children’s room, a furnished Welcome Center with fireplace, and an Activity Center.
We’ve welcomed our outside community by hosting groups such as Center of Calm Meditation, Overeaters Anonymous, Alanon, A Course in Miracles, A Course of Love, Spanish classes, Mexican Train game days, Songwriters Showcase, and organic food classes. Catered weddings and various party events are ongoing in-house rental opportunities.
