Can I participate virtually? This is designed as an onsite convention, although some events will be available virtually. Graduation, ordination, and the business meeting can be viewed through the UWM Facebook account (account not required to view). If you are an approved voting member or delegate, register through Whova to attend the business meeting via Zoom. We realize that making a decision to have a in person experience wasn't going to be ideal for everyone. Last year's hybrid model was difficult and took away from the experience for the majority of the community attending. We will have recordings of keynote speakers; those will be available after the event for all who have registered.
Can I attend only one or two days instead of the entire week? There is no day-to-day rate, so attendees will still need to purchase the standard registration price.
Can I change my workshop selection after registering? Yes, please send an email with your original workshop selection and the one you'd like to attend.
I've registered but cannot attend after. Can I receive a refund? There are no refunds, however you can carry over your registration to the following year or transfer your registration to someone else.
Is there a special hotel rate at the Sheraton? Yes, you must use this link to receive the discounted rate, which is available Saturday, June 24, through Friday, June 30. If you are extending your stay beyond this block you will need to contact the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center directly.
Why am I required to pay a $100 fee if I'm not staying at the Sheraton? Due to our booking contract with the Sheraton, those staying at other hotels or paid accommodations are required to pay the $100 fee at the time of registration.
How are we keeping our event safe amid the pandemic? Please visit our Health Guidelines page for information.
Is there transportation to/from the hotel? Busses will be available on Monday only (6/26) to/from the Sheraton and Unity Village. Other transportation and carpooling can be arranged through the Whova discussion board.
Are the scheduled meals gluten free? The meals included in registration (Monday evening, Tuesday lunch, Thursday dinner) are gluten free, with vegan and meat options available. Light bites offered during the donor meal are also gluten free.
What restaurants are in the area? There is a restaurant and coffee shop in the Sheraton. A list of local restaurants can be found in Whova.
Suggested attire for the Thursday banquet? We're going Back to the Future with a 1950's Enchantment Under the Sea prom! Dress for the decade or as you'd like.
Can I bring guests to the banquet? Yes, additional banquet tickets are available for purchase on our registration page.
Who do I contact if I'm having trouble getting into Whova? You'll need to log in with the email address you entered upon registration. Contact Whova customer support for further needs.
