Naim Baukman, Eastern Region

Gavin Keyes, Southwest Region

Hello Everyone!  My name is Naim Baukman and I am from Brandywine, Maryland in Unity’s Eastern Region.  I am currently attending Morgan State University.

Over the years, Unity has become an increasingly important part of my life.  Attending Uniteen Retreats and YOU Rallies were highlights of my middle school and high school experience.  Unity teachings have led me through hard times and helped me grow to be a more well-rounded person.  I have no idea what type of person I would be today without the influence that Unity has had on me.  It is because of this profound influence that I decided I wanted to play a bigger part in my community and become a Regional officer and now an Indie!

Some of my hobbies include working out and reading books.  For a while now, I’ve wanted to get into gymnastics and roller skating.

It is a great joy and privilege to be part of the Indie team for 2024!  I look forward to making this IYOU as spectacular as possible, and can’t wait to see everybody there!

Hi!  My name is Gavin Keyes and I'm from Unity’s Southwest Region.  I live in California and I attend Unity of Tustin, and sometimes go to Unity of Orange County.
I've been in Unity for my whole life, or at least as long as I remember.  Being here has helped me a lot with understanding myself and the world around me.  It gave me a welcoming community with so many cool people, like there's too many!  The tools I've been taught through Unity have helped get me past a lot of my fear and to try new things, like running for Regional officer.  I was a Regional officer for 2 years during a time where we weren't really sure if we had enough people to attend rallies because of Covid.  But, even with that I feel that we made some amazing events!  I finished up my last year of being a Regional officer recently and am ready to put what I learned into creating the IYOU Event!

I'm so happy and thankful to be a part of this team.  I know that we will make an amazing event and I hope you can join us to make it even better!  IYOU 2024!!!!!!
